FAQs

Why the name Dei One?

We want to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, in the construction industry. And what better way to demonstrate our commitment, than to have it in our name.

Are you a female only organisation?

No, but we do have aspirations to be a majority female owned and run company. This will take time, and the only way to get there, is to promote the hiring and engagement of women in the industry.

We want to breakdown the misconceptions around "equality" in the workplace and in day-to-day life. There is a difference between equality and equity.

We commit to providing equity to women by giving them a better opportunity. It's not a hand out, it's a seat at the table. An opportunity to show others in the industry that it can be done.

We currently employ the following:

  • 60%+ Leadership Members identify as women

  • 100% of Project Staff identify as women

  • 75%+ of Site Staff identify as women

  • 78%+ of all staff identify as women

Do you charge for feasibility studies or quotes?

Most likely. If the project requires a feasibility study, business case or detailed advice, we would need to be engaged to do so. However for simple projects, our team is happy to provide general advice and high level ballpark figures. It's best to contact us to confirm. Our fees are very reasonable and we can tailor the fee to your budget.

Are you a licensed builder?

Yes. We are licensed and registered with the Victorian Building Authority and the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC), to carry out commercial structural fitout works.
